Ivan started his career as a professional drummer when he was still in high school in New York playing with noise/metal band White Zombie.
Ivan recorded and toured with White Zombie for seven years, releasing three full length albums (Soul-Crusher, Make Them Die Slowly, and La Sexorcisto), and three EP’s (Pig Heaven, Psycho-Head Blowout and God of Thunder). In the subsequent years since White Zombie disbanded, a Greatest Hits CD (Past, Present and Future) and a CD/DVD combo (Let Sleeping Corpses Lie) featuring almost every song the band ever recorded has also been released and feature Ivan’s heavy hitting style. La Sexorcisto was nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance and is a multi-platinum selling album. Ivan expanded his musical skills after White Zombie to include other styles of music, including world percussion, and began producing and engineering projects in his studio, Burningsound. He has worked with many artists including L7, Prong, and Jack off Jill and can be heard on the soundtrack for Sony’s Ghost Rider.
Ivan’s love of metal and world percussion led him to start a band that incorporated both and Healer was born. Middle-eastern melodies and edgy riffs are combined, creating a listening experience that is rich in quality and beautiful in sound.
Ivan is multi-faceted and likes working on a variety of projects. As he continues his music with Healer, he has also begun using his studio in a virtual setting. Recording drums and percussion for projects from all over the world as well as mixing and producing virtually are just some of the things keeping Ivan busy. He is also a member of Las Vegas based metal band, KREEP, who recently played for a sold out audience at The Joint in the world famous Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Las Vegas. KREEP is currently recording a full length album in Ivan's studio, Burningsound.
Metalopolis To Pay Memorial Day Tribute To Metal's Fallen Heroes:

Portland, Oregon's weekly Heavy Metal program, Metalopolis, hosted by former White Zombie drummer Ivan de Prume, will pay a special Memorial Day weekend tribute to metal's fallen heroes this Saturday night, May 23, 2009.
Among those being honored will include:
Cliff Burton (Metallica), Dimebag Darrell (Pantera), Chuck Schuldiner (Death), Paul Baloff (Exodus), Quorthon (Bathory) and many other noteworthy individuals from the heavy metal world who have passed away. This is a very special show that will celebrate the achievements and work of those brave few who shared the gift of Heavy Metal with us to let the world know that we have not forgotten about them. So raise your fists in the air and give tribute. This is “FOR ALL THOSE WHO DIED.”
Just Announced:
KUFO will deliver the metal for two hours every Saturday night with Metalopolis which debuts on March 7th, 10pm-midnight. Hosted by former White Zombie drummer Ivan de Prume, the show will focus on both existing and emerging bands covering the gamut from black metal to noise metal, power metal to mainstream metal, thrash metal to death metal … basically if it’s metal it will find a home on Metalopolis.
A native New Yorker, de Prume spent 7 years recording and touring with White Zombie before leaving the band to continue his education at the Percussion Institute of Technology. Additionally he studied production and studio drumming which allowed him the skills needed to open Burningsound Studio where he has been able to produce, engineer and record with a wide variety of musicians. Now an Oregon resident, de Prume has the perfect credentials to host Metalopolis on KUFO.
