Hey it’s Buzz, I grew up in Portland and no matter how many times I have tried to escape I have never been able to break its grasp.  Don't get me wrong it could totally be worse, it's not like I'm waking up every day in Reno or some other armpit.

Seriously, is there a better city than Portland?  If there is, I haven't been there so feel free to send me a post card next time you go there...and if they have an In N' Out bring me back a shirt.

I like live shows and hanging out with my friends at a few of Portland's best dive bars. I don't like murderers (or those two dudes who tried to kidnap me that one time). I have been living my dream and entertaining the masses for nearly 20 years via the airwaves of PDX. I was on the air during the whole Alt Rock explosion and like you, I have been enjoying the NW music scene for years. Actually, I am pretty sure I have probably consumed a beer next to you in La Luna's heyday or maybe even just the other night at the Roseland. Hell, at one point I may have even loaned you $20 or set you up with tickets out of my "Big Black Van".

At any rate, I am jacked I get to play the best rock records for you everyday. I hope you join me daily for Smells Like the 90's and send in your requests at noon for KUFO's On Deman. Phones and email are always wide open, feel free to let me know what it takes to get you through your work day.
